Constitutional — President Roosevelt faced problems that came to the U.S in world diplomacy. By his actions, alone, other countries could see that the U.S was becoming a world power. He built a canal in Panama by his own ‘bullying’ strategies and strengthening of the countries forces.
Quote:
“’ I did not usurp power,’ he wrote, ‘but I did greatly broaden the use of executive power.’” (1).

Shared — President Roosevelt used his power to team up with the Justice Department. He demanded that the Justice Department, under the Sherman Antitrust Act, would file a suit against the Northern Securities Company. The suit was successful. With this the ‘monopoly’ was ended.
Quote:
“The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint to keep from meddling with them while they do it.” (2).
